How do we increase personal referrals in our business?

I chose to share this project I did because number one: it was definitely out of my comfort zone, and number two: it had really good results.

I was a marketing coordinator for this little family owned real estate business and we were trying to bridge the gap between past clients who loved our services and potential clients who cannot decide if they want a small real estate company or a huge one that was well known.

I created two different postcards that were aimed in getting referrals and reviews on our social media platforms. I created these both from scratch. The dark red one was a blown up business card that was identical to his and the white one was a jumbo postcard that gave incentive for people to review us.

I chose postcards because of their lower costs and catchiness to the eye. We wanted people to express their true feelings to us, their peers, and on social media. We rewarded for doing it, not on the basis if it was negative or positive feedback.

This was a huge learning curve for me in so many ways. I always was negative on my abilities to be creative, but I realized that using templates and software enables anyone to be creative, or in my case translate what was in my head to paper. We tracked the success of these campaigns and were able to adjust and change accordingly. This was my first market campaign and it helped me understand real life marketing in general.

If I could do this again, I would probably consult others for design opinions and also understand my target market a little better. For this project, we were on a very tight budget and that is why there was minimal time and money put into it.
